Supplying of yeast cultures
Yeasts are supplied as live cultures (on slant agars)
. Yeasts belonging to risk group 2 can only be transported by a licensed courier. This service is to be paid by the recipient.Prices for yeast cultures are given in the Price List.
Deposit in the open collection
Yeasts and yeast-like organisms of various origins and with diverse properties are welcome in the CCY. Deposit in the open collection is recommended for the purpose of describing new species. No charges are made.
Cultures of the strain deposited in the open collection will be available to third parties, Price list.

Safe deposit
A deposit in this manner is strictly confidential. No data concerning the depositor and the culture deposited are accessible to the public. When the depositor terminates deposit, the culture will be destroyed.

Deposit of yeast cultures for patent purposes
The CCY acquired the status of an International Depository Authority under Budapest Treaty, on the international recognition of the deposit for the purpose of patent procedure, in 1992.
A deposit in this manner is strictly confidential. No data concerning the depositor and the strain deposited are accessible to the public.

Identification of yeast cultures
The CCY offers identification of yeast cultures using conventional methods - the morphological, physiological and biochemical properties of cultures are tested according to the book the Yeasts – a taxonomic study edited by Kurtzman et al. (2011) or using DNA sequence analysis (sequencing of D1/D2 domain of 26S rRNA gene.
If the yeast culture is supplied as a mixture of microorganisms, additional costs will be asked to purify a yeast culture. The charges are given in the Price list.
